In September 1942 the Dickson’s small garrison shielded Siberia and saved the Northern sea route.
Michael Pashev is 91, and he’s the only participant of the Dikson defense in WWII left alive. There’s an opportunity the goes to Dikson on the memory day but if not we can go to Astrakhan where he lives and film his interview there – anyway all archive footages about that non-famous episode of Second war II is already collected.
We have collected some footage of Dikson from 1940s till 1990s. Besides our original footage those archives are also supposed to be used in the film anthology
